In response to the three problems raised above, we, Wuhan Silvercolour Technology Co., Ltd. developed a polyester anti-interference agent C2122 and tested its application effect.

  1.Problems raised10

  1.1 Low-cost polyester,due to the use of more glycol,there will be more pitting shrinkage,this pitting shrinkage can not be eliminated by using levelling agent brightener.

  1.2 Ordinary polyester,powder in the production of powder in the process,spraying plant in the process of powder coating,will be due to environmental factors or air compressor contains oil and water and other sources of pollution,pitting shrinkage,if the polyester interference resistance is strong,you can overcome this contamination and interference,the pitting shrinkage overcome.

  1.3 The use of brighteners in the powder formula has become a common phenomenon,can we produce a polyester,powder plant does not have to add brighteners?In this way our polyester has competitive advantage,powder plant to reduce the trouble of adding brightener.

 

  2.Test of polyester anti-interference agent C2122

  In response to the three questions raised above,we Wuhan Silvercolour Technology Co.,Ltd.developed a polyester anti-interference agent C2122,the application of its effect on the test.

  We chose one low-cost polyester with pockmarked holes for the test.

  Model 9303,Anhui manufacturers,of which the glycol content of 18%,itself pitting shrinkage of large,more,see the bottom of the 9303 polyester acid value of 30,HAA or TGIC curing,as a result of low-cost polyester,usually the user chooses to use the HAA curing,used in place of the indoor flat surface flour(high-gloss plane or matte plane),in order to reduce costs.

 

 2.1Test the 9303 itself for effectiveness.

 Conclusion: This low-cost polyester itself has more pitting shrinkage, with different manufacturers levelling agent brightener can not be eliminated.

 2.2Testing the effect of adding C2122 to polyester 9303

         Sample preparation, polyester discharge temperature is 220-230 degrees, in order to mimic the polyester discharge when added, we use the heating plate in the laboratory to heat the polyester to 220 degrees melt, C2122 added to melt and stirring for 30 minutes, cooled and crushed standby. C2122 dosage of 0.5 per cent, 1 per cent.

 CONCLUSION: After the melting addition of C2122 to polyester 9303, which itself has pockmarked shrinkage holes, the pockmarked shrinkage holes were safely eliminated.

 2.4Testing the effect of adding C2122 to black polyester

 Black polyester is cheaper, less expensive, prone to pockmarked shrinkage holes, large and bottomed out, and difficult to eliminate.

Conclusion: The addition of C2122 to black polyester is effective in eliminating pitting and shrinkage, but not completely eliminated.

 

 2.5Test the effect of adding C2122 to good polyester.

 CONCLUSION: With the addition of 0.5% C2122 to the good polyester, the powder formulation can be used without a brightener.

 

 2.6Test two other low-cost polyester effects.

 In order to verify the effect of C2122, and look for Shandong, Hebei two to be a low-cost polyester test, the test method and the same as above, plus and without C2122 comparison test, the conclusion is as follows:

Do not add C2122, itself more pitting shrinkage, with levelling agent brightener are difficult to eliminate.

Add 0.5%, 1% C2122, pitting shrinkage is completely eliminated, and the powder formula can not add brightener.

 

 3.Conclusions

 (1) Adding C2122 to low-cost polyester can completely eliminate pockmarking shrinkage, and the powder formulation can be used without adding a brightener.

(2) Good polyester with a small amount of C2122, can effectively improve the anti-interference ability, and the powder formula can not add brightener.

(3) The addition of C2122 to black polyester can eliminate most of the pockmarked shrinkage holes.

(4) Adding C212 in powder has wetting effect on pigment filler, better surface levelling and gloss.

(6) C2122 does not affect the powder matting, does not affect the weather resistance, does not pollute and interfere with other powders.

 

 cost analysis

Neopentyl Glycol 17,500 RMB/tonne, Ethylene Glycol 6,000 RMB/tonne, the cost of using 18% Ethylene Glycol instead of Neopentyl Glycol in polyester can be reduced by 2,000 RMB/tonne. Add 0.75% of additive C2122 cost increase of 100 RMB.
